As life goes on, is it just me or does time seem to go by faster and faster?
At times I can't seem to keep up with the moments that pass by so quickly.
Then I realize that it's mostly because I'm too lazy and I'm simply
letting time pass me by. ..

This microwave is older than I am... significantly. My uncle bought it when it first hit the market. He was ballin' back then. The original price of this antique was $2,000+ in the 1970's.
Just another example of how time flies.

Breakfast on March 1st, 2011.
I'm gonna try and prepare my own breakfast every morning.
Not because only because I should eat breakfast, but because I need a good reason to get out of bed earlier and start my day out right. However, it'd be nice to start everyday like I did on that day... but my day didn't "start" till 2pm. Hahahaha. It was great.

November is here. I was looking through my external hard-drive perusing through my past folders. I have a folder titled "My 21st Year". There's a lot of stuff in there. I definitely lived it up that year. However, there's not much that's going to go into "My 22nd Year". Sadly.

A year has flown by.
The San Francisco Giants have won the World Series.
Jeremy Lin in now a Golden State Warrior.
A new state governor is to be elected.
Both my siblings are in college now.
I've been at this company for almost a year now.
Starting to become complacent.
Getting too comfortable.
Think it's time to pick up the pace of life a little.

Time to kick some ass.

I was lucky enough to visit 안동 during the days following 추석.
There I met and hung out with a good friend of mine, Blossom, at the 하회마을. The weather was perfect! All the vegetation was vibrant in color and the sky were spotted with unflavored cotton candy clouds. My friend said to me in the car during our drive, "지금 밖에 우리나라 안 같아..." [Right now, it doesn't seem like we're in Korea.] The green was too green, the sky was too clear, the air was too fresh, everything was a little too perfect. It was a good trip. ^^

홍대+ Church 누나s [Sisters]

Went to 홍대 [Hong-Dae] last weekend and they were having yet another creative event. 홍대 is a college town where everyone is free to express themselves through whatever media they choose. People paint the walls of the streets, play music in the parks, dance on corners of blocks, sell home-made clothing and jewelery, and sometimes just do random things that don't really make any sense to normal, non-artsy people.

It's kind of like the Berkley of Seoul.

The pictures below are from an event where they handed out a huge square serving of 떡 (Rice bread?) and a plastic ball. Eat the 떡 and doodle on the ball. After one finished doodling, they place the ball in one of the holes in the wall. Didn't get the point, but uhh... it was kind of cool lookin?

These are the 누나s from my church.

The one on the way right is just a visitor, but the one next to her is a TV show host. She's on TV a few times a week as the leading host. She's nice. Aside from her, everyone else has a design background. They majored in Illustration, Photography, Product Design, and Interior Design (from left to right). So cool.

We ate 팟빙수 (Shaved Ice) and it was yummy.

I think I kind of went overboard with the lens flares. I need to figure out a new element to editing. Frigginayyy.

P.S. I tried to make a watermark (iN ate) then I realized that the "i" in the beginning has been unofficially trademarked by Apple. I hate Apple. It was supposed to be "iNate" like "innate". Thought I was being original. Back to the drawing board.

My company is currently constructing another building, which got me wondering: how long is this building going to stand here? As I watch it rise from the ground, does this count as witnessing history? Meh... I don't think so.

I really wish I could be with my family eating a hotdog or a steak. Or both.

I'm pretty sure everyone is driving over to Redwood City right about now. They're sitting around talking about whatever. The kids are upstairs or in Andrew's room playing games or watching a movie. It'll be the first 4th of July without me there. I wonder what that's gonna be like? Hahaha probably not as obnixious.

For lunch, I'll be eating Korean food. Again. Koreans say they have a variety of food here, but it's all Korean and it's all hot and spicey. You can argue with me, but Korean food is all very, very, very similar. I am a man with a colorful-global palate. For crying out loud, they don't have any other type of cheese aside from the Kraft singles kind! Lol. They serve that crap at restaurants like it's a novelty. They eat it with toothpicks! The sheets of cheese that come in the plastic is cut up and then eating with toothpicks! I did that when I was a little kid to pretend I was grown up and sophistimicated!! I have to keep telling myself not to judge... but it's so difficult sometimes.

Been a while since I posted...
Ever since my laptop was stolen, it's been difficult to start from scratch. I should have backed my stuff up, but I was too lazy. I even have a terabyte external. Lost almost all my pictures. Lost my bench book. Lost most of my college stuff. Lost all my cellphone pics/vids. Lost a lot...

But ey, life goes on. Right?

Refocus:

I see this thing time to time.
I'm not a 100% firm believer in it, but it's interesting.
Not completely accurate, but some of the stuff is spot on.
Everytime I read it, it's always interesting.

The parts that I feel are true will be in green.
While the parts I feel are not so accurate will be in orange.

As an ENFP, your primary mode of living is focused externally, where you take things in primarily via your intuition. Your secondary mode is internal, where you deal with things according to how you feel about them, or how they fit in with your personal value system.
ENFPs are warm, enthusiastic people, typically very bright and full of potential. They live in the world of possibilities, and can become very passionate and excited about things. Their enthusiasm lends them the ability to inspire and motivate others, more so than we see in other types. They can talk their way in or out of anything. They love life, seeing it as a special gift, and strive to make the most out of it.

ENFPs have an unusually broad range of skills and talents. They are good at most things which interest them. Project-oriented, they may go through several different careers during their lifetime. To onlookers, the ENFP may seem directionless and without purpose, but ENFPs are actually quite consistent, in that they have a strong sense of values which they live with throughout their lives. Everything that they do must be in line with their values. An ENFP needs to feel that they are living their lives as their true Self, walking in step with what they believe is right. They see meaning in everything, and are on a continuous quest to adapt their lives and values to achieve inner peace. They're constantly aware and somewhat fearful of losing touch with themselves. Since emotional excitement is usually an important part of the ENFP's life, and because they are focused on keeping "centered", the ENFP is usually an intense individual, with highly evolved values.

An ENFP needs to focus on following through with their projects. This can be a problem area for some of these individuals. Unlike other Extraverted types, ENFPs need time alone to center themselves, and make sure they are moving in a direction which is in sync with their values. ENFPs who remain centered will usually be quite successful at their endeavors. Others may fall into the habit of dropping a project when they become excited about a new possibility, and thus they never achieve the great accomplishments which they are capable of achieving.

Most ENFPs have great people skills. They are genuinely warm and interested in people, and place great importance on their inter-personal relationships. ENFPs almost always have a strong need to be liked. Sometimes, especially at a younger age, an ENFP will tend to be "gushy" and insincere, and generally "overdo" in an effort to win acceptance. However, once an ENFP has learned to balance their need to be true to themselves with their need for acceptance, they excel at bringing out the best in others, and are typically well-liked. They have an exceptional ability to intuitively understand a person after a very short period of time, and use their intuition and flexibility to relate to others on their own level.

Because ENFPs live in the world of exciting possibilities, the details of everyday life are seen as trivial drudgery. They place no importance on detailed, maintenance-type tasks, and will frequently remain oblivous to these types of concerns. When they do have to perform these tasks, they do not enjoy themselves. This is a challenging area of life for most ENFPs, and can be frustrating for ENFP's family members.

An ENFP who has "gone wrong" may be quite manipulative - and very good at it. The gift of gab which they are blessed with makes it naturally easy for them to get what they want. Most ENFPs will not abuse their abilities, because that would not jive with their value systems.
ENFPs sometimes make serious errors in judgment. They have an amazing ability to intuitively perceive the truth about a person or situation, but when they apply judgment to their perception, they may jump to the wrong conclusions.

ENFPs who have not learned to follow through may have a difficult time remaining happy in marital relationships. Always seeing the possibilities of what could be, they may become bored with what actually is. The strong sense of values will keep many ENFPs dedicated to their relationships. However, ENFPs like a little excitement in their lives, and are best matched with individuals who are comfortable with change and new experiences.

Having an ENFP parent can be a fun-filled experience, but may be stressful at times for children with strong Sensing or Judging tendancies. Such children may see the ENFP parent as inconsistent and difficult to understand, as the children are pulled along in the whirlwind life of the ENFP. Sometimes the ENFP will want to be their child's best friend, and at other times they will play the parental authoritarian. But ENFPs are always consistent in their value systems, which they will impress on their children above all else, along with a basic joy of living.

ENFPs are basically happy people. They may become unhappy when they are confined to strict schedules or mundane tasks. Consequently, ENFPs work best in situations where they have a lot of flexibility, and where they can work with people and ideas. Many go into business for themselves. They have the ability to be quite productive with little supervision, as long as they are excited about what they're doing.

Because they are so alert and sensitive, constantly scanning their environments, ENFPs often suffer from muscle tension. They have a strong need to be independent, and resist being controlled or labelled. They need to maintain control over themselves, but they do not believe in controlling others. Their dislike of dependence and suppression extends to others as well as to themselves.

ENFPs are charming, ingenuous, risk-taking, sensitive, people-oriented individuals with capabilities ranging across a broad spectrum. They have many gifts which they will use to fulfill themselves and those near them, if they are able to remain centered and master the ability of following through.

I went to 제주도 right after I went to 부산,
but I didn't get a chance to upload pictures onto my blog until now.

I love the feel of island life.
Could quite seriously see myself living in a place like this.
Made me question what I'm living for...
if I were to be living for my own sake,
I'd move here quicker than Usain Bolt.

When I go back and look at the pictures, I can really go back and remember the moments that I took the photos and the time that I took to just soak in the feel of the place.

부산!! [Busan!!]

I had the opportunity to go on a trip to 부산 and 제주도 [Busan and Jeju Island] last week. I can't believe that it was only a week ago that I was having the time of my life without a care in the world. I just have to hold on to these pictures and remember the feeling and moment of when I was traveling again. I feel so alive when I'm on the move. With nothing holding me back, with no clue where I'm going, with the intent of finding the soul of the place that I'm in... that's when I really feel alive.

These are pictures from the first and second day of the trip. Busan is a beautiful city with loud, course, but warm-hearted people. 가봔냐? Love the accent (사투리) and just the feel of the city. It's so different from Seoul, but at the same time so similar.

천세: Last day.

My time here has been such an interesting and unexpected experience.
There were good times, bad times, boring times, and fun times.

I think that working here has truly been a blessing now that I can look back on the time that I had here. The people were so kind to me. The workload was always more than manageable. Aside from waking up early, I had absolutely nothing to complain about. I had it made.

But not everyone is having the time of their life at the company. A lot of people (everyone?) are stressed out, tired, and exhausted. So I really tried to use all the energy I had to make them happy or to give them some of my energy. More than anything though, I wanted to leave a good and lasting impression on the people I worked with.

I gave a final speech before I left the company, and in that speech, I suggested to everyone that on the days that they're feeling down, the days that they're bored, and the days that just seem to never end, to think about me and smile... if not laugh.

Hopefully, the time that I was able to spend with my co-workers, I was able to make fond memories for them to reminiscence on those slow, boring, sad days. I'm gonna miss them. I'm really going to miss them. :(

Lastly, I told them that if we didn't share a memory together, just remember this dance.

Been so busy lately...

...but right now is VACATION! Lunar New Year. Ahhhhhhhhhhh... :)

I can honestly say that I have never been so tired from doing so little. I'm still thankful for this blessing/opportunity I've been given, but not gonna lie, I'm exhausted...
Here are some pictures I recently took in 동대문 (Dong-dae-moon), a fairly large popular outdoor shopping area in Seoul. There was some sort of ceremony going on... got lucky. Right place, right time.

Also, the last picture is of a friend of mine. I really like the picture. Reminds me of "Blurry Things" by Trever Hoehne. Hahahaha. The shot was completely accidental. (Much like all of my other favorite shots... the unexpected "wow factor" really makes come pictures more memorable than others, at least for me.) Give me feedback! Thanks yalllllllllllssssssssss.

SNOW!

These pictures were not taken all on the same day, so don't be muddled when you get near the end of the post and notice the lack of snow in the pictures. Never lived in a place where it snowed. I've been to places and experienced snowfall, but I never experienced it as part of a daily routine. It was fun but now I'm over it. Everything is slippery, cold, and wet. I like this series. Maybe it's because I've never shot snow and it's a first. Anyway, enjoy!

I had a chance to visit my dad's hometown: Incheon. Had no idea that there was a Chinatown there... it wasn't as big as the one in San Francisco, but it had a similar feel to it.

Birds at a Traditional Tea House (전통 찻집)

In a small little area inside of Seoul, 인사동 (In-Sah-Dong), there's a quaint traditional tea house. They serve old traditional herbal/medicinal teas. I had "harmony tea"? Don't remember exactly. The tea was aiite, but they had little finches flying around inside! They serve a small cracker-like snack to eat with the tea, but I ended up using it as bait for my pictures. Mwahaha. I still don't know if I'm allowed to feed the birds. They crapped on the table. They didn't crap in my tea though. I think that's all that matters, right?

I'm getting my hair cut.

I was going to try to make this blog all about pictures, but this is an exception.

I'm waiting for my turn at a small beauty parlor to get my hair cut. I talked a bit with these people and now they want my to come back and hang out with them. They want to practice their english on me or just learn from me. I feel like some sort of sensei. Hahahaha.

I have church at 1:30pm and right now is 12:30pm.

Hope I make it on time.

They shampoo and condition your hair after it's cut.
